Rad Jet's FULL ARTIST BIO
Hawaiian-born Kaju is the founder of the original retro rock band Rad Jet, and is a multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter, arranger, filmmaker, and an award-winning producer.
According to the artists’ full bio, “Rad Jet delivers a fresh organic brand of high energy hard rock, retro rock, and old-school irresistible pop melodies to a New Generation of listeners without loops, samples, or gimmicks. Great songs 100% humanly played.”
Kaju further writes on Rad Jet’s Instagram, “Together we can bring back classic organic rock devoid of loops, samples, and auto tune to a New Generation – a visceral quality that I feel is missing in today’s homogeneous musical lexicon. Follow Rad Jet on this journey and become a part of this growing movement.”
“96 Guns” is Rad Jet’s debut single and full-length music video which was released on schedule on July 8, 2022. Their eponymous self-titled debut album with ten new original recordings all composed by Kaju is scheduled to be released in Fall 2023.
Rad Jet will release 10 new songs worldwide beginning on July 8. 2022, with a new song release slated for every month or two thru the last quarter of 2023. Only after releasing all 10 singles, will the full LP be released for sale in Fall 2023.
Rad Jet's follow-up 2nd Release, "Celebrate the Change" - a melodic pop anthem with heavy guitar and pretty melodies reminiscent of early Foo Fighters and Squeeze - was released everywhere on August 12, 2022.
Here's an update: Rad Jet followed up these first (2) releases with his next three releases: "The Politics of Guns" (released 10.7.22), an anti-guns call out for change with the current gun legislation, "Burst" (released 12.9.22) perhaps Rad Jet's catchiest pop song, and "Silent Storms", Rad Jet's dark and haunting ballad about one's personal tale of isolation and tragedy (scheduled release on 2.10.23).
Kaju played all 18 instruments on Rad Jet’s debut album, as well as being the producer, arranger, and lead vocalist for all tracks except one. Chandler Mogel was the Featured Vocalist on Rad Jet’s debut single release “96 Guns.” This album is comprised of his unfinished and unrecorded material spanning over 30 years.
On December 21, 2021, Kaju became an award-winning producer when he and partner Felicia Lin’s podcast “Talking Taiwan” won the Golden Crane Award for the Best Special Interest Podcast of 2021.
Previously on September 3, 2021, his short film “Chaos in NYC” which captured the frenzy during the lockdown curfew of the pandemic became an official selection of the 2021 Hollywood First Time Filmmakers Festival.
Kaju has performed as a musician in 15 different countries on four different continents all over the world at various well-known venues in North America, Asia, Australia, and Central America. For 15 years, he was the former band leader and founding member of OFF THE HOOK, one of the premiere dance party bands in the New York Tri-State Area.
As the guitarist for the 50 + member Don’t Give Up Gospel Choir of Japan in June 2011, Kaju participated in an electrifying performance in front of a stadium crowd of 20,000 joyous gospel fans for Gospel Fest at the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ, sharing the stage with gospel legends Donny McClurkin, and Kirk Franklin.
His appearances on television include competing as a finalist in 2011 on the ABC-TV reality game show “Karaoke Battle USA” hosted by former N’Sync star Joey Fatone, with guest star judge Carnie Wilson, an interview on the Emmy-award winning News Program “ABC Nightline” during the segment “Talent is Overrated” by news correspondent John Berman, and a special guitar performance as “Rob the Guitar Player” with Sal the Stockbroker on the WCBS prime time television and E-Network “Howard Stern Radio Show.”

Verse 1:
I’m not feeling well
Uvalde 22 shot dead
I feel like raisin’ hell
Thinking of Columbine, Sandy Hook, Virg. Tech
Rally hard
Raise your glass
Pray to God
Gun reform will pass
Chorus 1:
Tearin’ down the walls
Mass killing sprees through campus halls
Like Rome we’re gonna fall
Unless the Gun Lobby heeds our call
Tearin’ down the walls
Calling our daughters and sons
To the Politics of Guns
(And Stop these Senseless Guns)
Verse 2:
The Supreme Court jury’s hung
Set killers free, overturned Roe Wade
Any kid can buy a gun
As long as lobbyists get paid
Campaign hard
No time to rest
The night has come
Bring legislators to the test
To the test
Chorus 2:
Tearin’ hallowed walls
From the Vegas Strip to Buffalo
It’s time to heed the Call
Stop these killing sprees change pro-gun laws
Pray the blood laid on these walls
Teach our daughters and sons
The Politics of Guns
(To Stop these Senseless Guns)
Bridge:
What a mess he made
Appointed judges not your friends
While the NRA’s bold lies never end
Chorus 3 | 4:
Tearin’ down the walls
My Mind is Gonna Crash and Fall
I think I’ll Lose it All
Unless a Court Supreme change pro-gun laws
Tear these bloody walls
For your daughters and sons
(To Stop the Senseless guns)
Tearin’ down the walls
My Mind is Gonna Crash and Fall
Congress hear them all
200 Million Voices call
Tear these bloody walls
For our daughters and sons
For your daughters and sons
We gotta run run run
The Politics of Guns
Outro
We’re gonna run……the Politics of Guns
The Politics of Guns
The Politics of Guns
